A low density development off a private road. Included is a sample of some of the early house designs responding to the LPA’s request for Arts and Crafts forms, rather than classical four-square houses. Inevitably for any given floor area the house footprints are quite large, and while they fit in well to the character of the area, and despite the appealing graphics of these watercolours, they do not have the grandeur of Georgian inspired facades and rectangular footprints which we designed for scheme 2, and which were eventually built.
