Andy Smith
After gaining my Honours degree in Architecture and a post grad Diploma in Architecture at Kingston, for the last quarter of a century I have specialised in designing every kind of residential development, from single houses to vast mixed-use urban schemes. And I have successfully negotiated countless local Planning Consents, often with Planning Consultants, and helped win many Appeals.
My objective is to help you make more money from your land by achieving a more profitable planning permission, for a design that's a delight both to see and to live in. The strategy is to work with you, other professionals and the Local Authority planners to devise a more efficient, more attractive, and more cost effective design solution.
I started my career at Broadway Malyan Architects. I then enjoyed seven years at Charles Church. Followed by ten years working for St George, part of the Berkeley Group. The next five years I spent at Banner Homes, and since 2006 have been working for myself as Andy Smith Design. My clients have included Linden Homes, Alfred Homes, GIA as well as a number of small developers, and many private landowners and housholders. I have also collaborated with top quality Architects such as John Thompson, Paul Brookes, PRP, Lyons Sleeman Hoare, Patel Taylor and others to create successful and beautiful developments.
