Terms and Conditions

1. Initial consultation free, thereafter fee includes one site meeting and one pre-application consultation with Council planners, fee excluding expenses and disbursements.
2. Additional meetings and site visits charged at £250 per visit including travel costs.
3. Invoices to be paid within 28 days of date of invoice.
4. Limited minor amendments to finished design or drawings will be accommodated within the agreed fee, however, significant changes requested by the client, beyond those in the course of meeting the brief, will be chargeable based on an estimate of the time needed.
5. A repeat of or return to a previous design stage will incur additional fees.
6. A pro rata fee will be payable in the event of withdrawal of instruction at any stage based on the proportion of work done.
7. Time based fees at £80/hr will be charged for any work instructed for which a lump sum is not agreed up front.
8. We will grant license to copy and use and reproduce the drawings and to reproduce the designs contained in them for any purpose in connection with the development of the property only provided always that we shall not be liable for any use of the drawings for any purpose other than that for which they were prepared and that Andy Smith Design is credited as the principle architectural designer.
9. Andy Smith retains copyright in the drawings and design, and asserts his right to be named as author of the designs.
10. Reasonable skill and care to be expected of a professional competent and experienced consultant will be used in connection with the preparation of the drawings.
